My Role
1. I conducted user interviews with solo travelers. By listening to their valuable insights and experiences, I gained a deep understanding of their needs, desires, and pain points. This allowed me to create a user persona—a representation of our target audience—which guided our decision-making process and ensured that Solo Trip caters to their unique requirements.
2. I conducted brainstorming sessions to generate a multitude of feature ideas, each aimed at enhancing the overall user experience. From intuitive navigation to seamless connections, the app strived to create a platform that would make solo travel more enjoyable and fulfilling.
3. I conducted thorough usability tests to validate the design decisions and ensure usability.
Results
1. Most users found it easy to navigate through the platform and effortlessly completed tasks with minimal assistance. Moreover, they completed each task in under one minute, showcasing the platform's efficiency and user-friendly interface.
2. I encountered an interesting scenario regarding the notification button. Since there wasn't an actual flow set up for it, I had to clarify its purpose to a few users. I explained that the button serves as a reminder for scheduled activities, ensuring they never miss out on exciting opportunities. This feedback led to an iteration on the notification feature.
3. One aspect that sparked curiosity among users was how they would connect with like-minded individuals. I took this opportunity to explain the powerful algorithm behind Solo Trip. This algorithm analyzes user profiles and matches them with individuals who share similar interests, ensuring meaningful connections. Not only that, but the algorithm also takes proximity into account, facilitating connections with fellow travelers nearby. This information made me realize that the product will require clear and concise marketing to ensure proper understanding by potential users.
